This is obviously the big brother of the “regular” Galaxy Tab S10 FE I already told you about earlier this week, and its somewhat extravagant price (for a mid-range device) explains why the 13.1-incher flew under my radar these past couple of days at $150 off.

Released in the fall of 2024, the 12.4-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab S10+ is on sale at its highest ever discount before Black Friday 2025. That’s for a 512GB storage variant normally priced at $1,119.99, mind you, while the entry-level 256 gig configuration is discounted by a comparatively humbler but still fairly substantial $250 from a list price of $999.99.
To maximize your savings ahead of Thanksgiving and Christmas, you’ll have to opt for a Platinum Silver colorway instead of its Moonstone Gray alternative (regardless of how much internal storage space you think you need), and you probably have to hurry as well.
Technically, Amazon’s Black Friday Week sale is scheduled to start in just a few days (specifically, on November 20), but that $352 price cut seems random enough to go away in a few hours and not actually return by the end of the year.

Of course, that’s just an assumption on my part, and it’s equally possible that Amazon or Samsung will offer an even heftier discount soon. But with a stunning Dynamic AMOLED 2X display in tow, one of the sleekest tablet designs out there, a reasonably powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ processor under the hood, and an always handy built-in stylus, this thing looks a little too good to drop further in price in the near future.
I’m not sure if I’d say that it’s better than Apple’s best iPads today, but it’s definitely up there in the same league, and at least for the time being, it’s a lot cheaper than the brand-new M5-powered 11 and 13-inchers.

This brings the $1,199.99 list price down to $824.99, which… doesn’t quite make the Tab S10 Ultra a traditionally affordable tablet. But it makes it a lot cheaper than this year’s Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra, which isn’t significantly better than (or very different from) its predecessor.

The Tab S10 Ultra is of course not just massive, but remarkably thin as well, at 5.4mm, and not that heavy (for its screen size, at least), at 718 grams. As you can imagine, Best Buy’s “Techtober” promotion doesn’t require a Prime (or equivalent) membership, thus allowing anyone to minimize their spending months before Christmas without jumping through any hoops whatsoever.

If I ask you what is the best Android tablet out there right now, I’m willing to bet that the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite isn’t even going to cross your mind as a top ten candidate. It’s not even October yet, and Samsung is outdoing itself while defying all reasonable expectations with a blazing fast One UI 8 rollout for about two dozen different Galaxy devices already. The latest in line are a family of ultra-high-end handsets… from 2023, as well as a younger duo of premium tablets and a 2024-released mid-range phone.
This is getting hard to follow
Yes, I’ve officially lost count of all the Android smartphones and tablets that have been updated by Samsung to the newest OS version (in its stable form) in at least one country.
So let’s first focus on all the movement of the last few days. Perhaps the most important products treated to Android 16 goodies (infused with One UI 8 tweaks and add-ons) after the Galaxy S24 series are obviously the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, S23 Ultra, and S23 FE.

The Galaxy Quantum 5 is another device that’s receiving Android 16 with One UI 8 on top as we speak in South Korea only… because it’s exclusive to that country. But the phone is basically Samsung’s regional equivalent for the international Galaxy A55, so that popular 2024-released mid-ranger is likely to leave Android 15 (and One UI 7) behind around the world in the near future as well.
What’s next for Samsung and Samsung fans?
Clearly, the sky is now the limit for what the world’s number one smartphone vendor can achieve on the software support front by the end of the year. Samsung has incredibly managed to outperform not one but two super-ambitious update schedules published in two different countries in addition to absolutely crushing the (non) competition.
Obviously, it’s reasonable to expect the Galaxy S23 family, Tab S10 duo, and Galaxy A55 to score One UI 8 treats worldwide by the end of the week, followed by the likes of the Galaxy A35, A26, A17, S22, S22 Plus, and S22 Ultra really, really soon. Far sooner than anyone could have anticipated just two or three weeks ago, and believe it or not, sooner than many recently released high-enders from other brands.

I could go on and on listing devices as old as the Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 Plus, and Tab S8 Ultra and as modest as the Galaxy A06, A07, and A15, but instead of that, I’ll tell you this: if you’ve purchased a member of Samsung’s Galaxy released at any point in the last three years or so, you should be able to run the newest Android version (well) before Christmas. And that’s an achievement no other brand can even hope to come close to.
